Ladies in particular should be very wary of con men posing as romantic souls who quickly fall in love with you. After a while comes the hook. They need money. When you send it, they're gone.

I have a few friends who have personally been stung. One shared the con man's emails so I got to see his modus operandi. Be very wary ladies!
